BY CAR

Coming from North (Florence), take the exit from the highway A1 at the toll booth called FIRENZE IMPRUNETA and take the express way junction FIRENZE- SIENA, whose entrance is on the immediate right of the toll booth’s exit.
Once inside the express way, take the exit POGGIBONSI SUD, a quicker way to reach the city centre.

Coming from south (SIENA), take the exit at the toll booth called VALDICHIANA and go ahead following the directions to Siena. Once reached the junction for the bypass road, choose the direction to Florence and go straight on until the exit POGGIBONSI SUD.

BY TRAIN

Coming from Florence, the train to Siena can be found at Santa Maria Novella’s train station, situated in the city centre, a few minutes away from the Dome and behind the facade of Santa Maria Novella church.

Coming from Siena, reach the train station in Piazza Fratelli Rosselli, situated 2 km away from the city centre and easily reachable by taxi or city buses.

BY BUS

In Florence, the bus station is situated in Via della Scala, close to Santa Maria Novella’s train station, behind Ambasciatori hotel.
It’s possible to take a bus to Poggibonsi or one called “SIENA ORDINARIA”, getting off in Poggibonsi, in Piazza Mazzini (the square).

In Siena, the bus station is situated in Piazza Gramsci, from where it’s possible taking one of the following extra-urban lines: 131, called “FIRENZE ORDINARIA”, 130 which follows the path “Siena – Poggibonsi – San Gimignano – Strada” or 136 which connects “Siena – Staggia- Poggibonsi”.

BY PLANE

The closest airports to Poggibonsi are situated in PISA (GALILEO GALILEI) and in FLORENCE (AMERIGO VESPUCCI). In both cases, the suggested option is reach Florence’s city centre with transports at the airport’s exit and choose the preferred way to reach Poggibonsi, by bus or train.

TRAIN: from Poggibonsi’s station in Piazza Mazzini take the train to Florence, usually departing from platform 1, or Siena, usually departing from platform 2.
