In the heart of the Sienese part of the Chianti region, well known for its charming landscape and its ancient woods, an unspoilt forest of oaks, ilexes and chestnut trees hosts a unique attraction: a permanent exhibition of contemporary sculptures.
It’s the Chianti Sculpture Park, located in Pievasciata, about 10 km away from the northern part of Siena, where many international artists, from the five continents, have challenged their creativity realizing imposing installations.
Each artwork is site -specific, that is it’s proposed by the artist after having visited the wood, creating a total link between sculptures and trees, amoung sounds, colours and light and each element of the forest. It’s the work of a man that doesn’t override the nature but that integrates with it and enhances its qualities.

HOW TO REACH IT
From the freeway Firenze- Siena take the exit Siena Nord.
From Siena Nord, follow the directions to Castellina in Chianti and, after 1km, turn to Vagliagli.
After 8 km, turn to PIEVASCIATA and, after 4km, the dirt road will take to the parc.
